How does Yung Sidekick work?
Yung Sidekick records your session (or you can upload audio or dictate a recap), automatically generates a transcript, and an AI analyzes it to create Progress Notes in formats such as SOAP, DAP, BIRP, and GIRP, plus Treatment Plans and detailed Therapist and Client Reports. For clients with multiple sessions, it can compile comprehensive meta-reports with client histories and profiles. Outputs appear quickly—generally about 1 minute after recording. If you don’t want to record, you can use the Dictate Recap feature to generate notes from your own recap.
How accurate is the transcription and analysis?
The AI is designed to be highly accurate for transcription and analysis, but there may be minor speech recognition errors from time to time. We continually refine our natural language processing to improve accuracy over time.
Will client confidentiality be protected?
Yes. Yung Sidekick is HIPAA compliant and GDPR compliant, with strong privacy protections. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, recordings are deleted after processing, transcripts are anonymized, and client data is stored using pseudonyms and unique identifiers. You also have control to update or delete your data as needed. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available if you qualify as a Covered Entity.
