Pregnancy Test Checker

The app analyzes photographs of home pregnancy tests and returns a classified result.

The user photographs a test strip using the in-app camera or selects an existing image from the device gallery. The app accepts strip, cassette, and midstream formats. A framing guide helps align the test window in the frame.

The image is preprocessed to correct for exposure, white balance, and perspective skew. The app locates the result window, then measures pixel intensity along the strip to identify the control line and test line. Line intensity is scored relative to the local background.

The app returns one of four classifications: positive, negative, invalid (no control line detected), or unreadable (image quality insufficient). Each result includes a confidence value and a cropped image of the analyzed region with the detected lines marked.

Results are saved to a local timeline with timestamp, image, and classification. Multiple tests can be viewed side by side to compare line intensity across dates.

Data handling. Images are [processed on-device / uploaded for inference and deleted after processing — pick whichever applies]. The user can delete individual results or clear all stored data.
