Height Estimator (Poe)

The Height Estimator is a photo analysis tool that looks at a picture you upload and estimates how tall the person in it might be.

You add an image by dragging it onto the upload area or tapping to browse. JPG, PNG, and WebP files work, up to 20 MB.

The app then sends the photo to an AI vision model for review. The result appears as a height range rather than a single number. Imperial and metric values are shown together.

A spectrum bar places that range on a scale from 4'10" to 6'8". This gives you a quick sense of where the estimate sits. Beside it sits a confidence badge marked high, medium, or low.

Below the summary, three cards explain the reasoning behind the estimate:

• Body proportions: how head size compares to total body length, plus leg to torso ratio and limb proportions
• Reference objects: everyday items of known size in the frame, such as doors, chairs, bottles, counters, or cars
• Posture and camera angle: whether the subject stands upright or slouches, footwear that adds height, and whether the shot was taken from above or below

Each card holds a short written note from the model. Together they show which cues carried weight.

If no person is visible in the photo, the app says so and asks for a different image. Clear messages also appear when the response cannot be read or the analysis fails partway.

A button at the bottom returns you to the upload screen for another photo.

The interface follows your system theme. Light mode uses a warm paper background, dark mode a deep blue one. The layout shifts to a single column on smaller screens.

Results are estimates drawn from visual cues alone. Camera distance, clothing, pose, and lens choice all affect what the model sees.
