Is my data secure and private?

OCRMD is privacy-focused. All processing happens client-side in your browser, so your data isn’t stored on our servers unless you opt for the premium service with secure storage. For secure storage and full-text search, you’ll need an OCRMD account.

What file types and content can OCRMD process?

OCR Markdown converts scanned images and PDFs into editable Markdown. It supports images and PDFs and extracts regular text, LaTeX math, programming code blocks, and images. With the premium model, tables are also extracted with preserved formatting.

How long are my files stored?

Files are stored for at least 6+ months, and you can download your data anytime during that period.

What content is extracted?

OCRMD extracts regular text, LaTeX math, programming code blocks, images, and (with the premium model) tables, preserving formatting where possible.

What are the file size limits and PDF page limits?

• 15 MB maximum per file
• 250 pages maximum for PDFs

• Gold: $32 one-time, 10,000 extractions included, $0.0032 per page, valid for 2 years, image & PDF processing, email support.
• Diamond: $130 one-time, 50,000 extractions included, $0.0026 per page, valid for 2 years, image & PDF processing, email support.
