What does LectMate do?

LectMate is a web-based lecture companion for international students and multilingual learners. Start a session for a lecture, meeting, or call to get live transcription alongside translated meaning—so you can follow in real time without losing context.

After class, LectMate structures the same lesson into review-ready study material. You can work with a mind-map style outline, lesson-based quiz questions, AI Tutor answers, and an exportable infographic for faster revision.

Review becomes searchable and auditable: find terms or sentences across the session, jump back to the exact timestamped moment, and replay the corresponding audio. LectMate also supports importing recorded audio and exporting transcript results for your personal study workflow.

What can LectMate do during a live lecture or meeting?

LectMate provides live transcription and live translation in the same workspace, keeping the original speech and translated meaning aligned while you listen.

How do bilingual notes work in LectMate?

LectMate keeps the original transcript together with the translated text, then adds structure like summaries, keyword extraction, search, and source-linked replay so you can review efficiently.

Can I use LectMate for offline lectures or uploaded recordings?

Yes. You can start with live sessions or import recorded audio, then generate timestamped transcript results and study materials from that recording.

How does searching and replay help with studying?

You can search any word or sentence in a session and jump to the matching moment, then replay that portion instead of replaying the entire recording.

Does LectMate keep lecture and call content under user control?

LectMate is designed around privacy-first control, including the ability to delete recordings and transcript-related outputs and a default stance of not using private learning data for model training.

What languages does LectMate support?

English and Chinese are the core use case. It also supports many additional European and Asian languages to support broader international study and daily conversations.
