What does Figwise do?

Figwise is a scientific figure maker designed for turning your study description into publication-ready visuals. It offers dedicated tools for graphical abstracts, conceptual framework diagrams, and systematic review flow diagrams.

Use it to draft a graphical abstract from your paper’s abstract, generate a conceptual framework by classifying study variables, or build an exact PRISMA 2020 flow diagram and a CONSORT 2010 flow diagram. For other analysis figures, you can generate a volcano plot or a phylogenetic tree.

No design software is required: paste your text or enter your counts, review the draft, and export. Outputs are available as vector SVG for submission workflows, plus PNG at the size your target journal expects.

Can I edit what comes back after the draft is generated?

Yes—review the draft and adjust your inputs (like text or review numbers) before exporting. The goal is to let you regenerate without manually rebuilding the structure.

What types of figures can I generate with Figwise?

You can generate graphical abstracts, conceptual framework diagrams, PRISMA 2020 flow diagrams, CONSORT 2010 flow diagrams, volcano plots, and phylogenetic trees.

What do I need to provide to create a PRISMA 2020 flow diagram?

Enter your review screening numbers, then generate the PRISMA 2020 flow diagram. The diagram is free and editable.

What file formats can I export for submission?

You can export vector SVG, and you can also download PNG sized for your target journal expectations.

Is there a free tier to try Figwise?

You can try Figwise for free for your first figure.

Does Figwise handle journal-sized templates for graphical abstracts?

Yes—graphical abstracts can be generated using exact templates with journal preset sizing (such as Elsevier or MDPI presets).
