What does Dear Arcana do?
Dear Arcana is an in-browser tarot table built for the questions you’re already carrying. Shuffle and pull from the full 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck, choosing a spread of 1, 3, 4, 5, or 10 cards. Every card can land upright or reversed, and the cards remain on the table so you can look at them before deciding what to ask and how to reflect.
For a quick check-in, use the Yes/No mode: turn one card for a single question and receive a yes or a no based on whether the card is upright or reversed, along with a one-line reason. Each day also includes free prompts to help you try deeper readings without any account.
When you want more, bring your existing cards to AI Reading. You’ll keep your draw exactly as it appears on your table—your selected cards, their positions, and your question—then the AI interprets the spread. Your first AI reading on a device needs no sign-in; after that, sign in and enjoy a free one reading per day (UTC). Content is intended for entertainment and self-reflection, not medical, legal, or financial advice.
Pricing beyond the free daily allowances isn’t specified for this listing.
Is drawing tarot cards free on Dear Arcana?
Yes—drawing is free, unlimited, and doesn’t require an account.
Do I need an account to draw tarot cards?
No. You can draw tarot cards directly in your browser without signing in.
Can I ask a yes-or-no question instead of a full spread?
Yes. Ask one question and turn one card—upright is read as yes, and reversed as no, with a one-line reason.
Which tarot deck does Dear Arcana use?
It uses the 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck, with each card able to land upright or reversed.
Is the draw random?
The deck shuffles in your browser using a cryptographically secure random value.
How does AI Reading work if I already drew cards?
You bring your existing cards, including their positions, plus your question. The AI interprets what you drew—there’s no separate drawing step for the AI.
