How accurate is your OCR technology?
Our OCR technology is highly accurate, achieving over 98% accuracy with high-quality input images. This ensures reliable data extraction, though results may vary with lower quality scans or complex layouts.
- This accuracy figure does not include values related to discounts, as they are recorded in different ways by different vendors. Discount information (such as discount amounts, prices before discount, etc.) varies significantly in format and presentation across receipt and invoice systems, making standardized extraction more challenging.
Is there any receipt processing limit?
Yes, there are API rate limits in place to ensure fair usage:
- 100 requests per minute
- 10,000 requests per day
Beyond these rate limits, the only other restriction is the number of scans your account is credited with.

How long does document processing take?
Document processing speed varies based on several factors. PDF files generally require more time than image formats, and documents with complex layouts or large amounts of text take longer to analyze. In most cases, you'll get results within seconds, but more complex documents like multi-page PDF invoices might require several dozen seconds to process completely.
We're continuously working to improve processing speeds across all document types. However, our highest priority remains maintaining the exceptional accuracy of our extraction results. We believe that speed improvements should never come at the expense of reduced accuracy, as the quality and reliability of the extracted data are paramount to our users.
What file formats are supported for input?
WiseOCR supports most graphic file formats like PNG, JPEG, and others, as well as PDFs (up to 5 pages). This ensures flexibility in the types of files you can upload for processing.
Can the JSON be customized or new fields added?

How secure is WiseOCR?
WiseOCR prioritizes data security and privacy through industry-standard encryption and secure processing protocols. By default, all uploaded documents are automatically deleted after processing, ensuring your sensitive information remains protected.
How does WiseOCR integrate with other applications?
WiseOCR integrates with Make.com to connect receipt data directly to hundreds of apps and services, enabling automated workflows. Zapier integration is also available on WiseOCR plans.
Are refunds possible?
Refunds can be issued within 7 days if no scans or credits have been used.
How is pricing structured for WiseOCR?
WiseOCR offers two pricing models:
- Pay as you go — purchase a set number of credits with 1 year validity. Use scans as needed without expiration concerns.
- Subscription — choose a monthly plan that automatically renews your credits each billing cycle. Unused credits roll over to the next month as long as your subscription is active.
Can I use both a subscription and Pay as you go credits at the same time?
Yes! You can have an active subscription and Pay as you go credits simultaneously. Your subscription credits are always consumed first. Once they run out, the system automatically switches to your Pay as you go credits. This allows you to top up your subscription limit with additional purchased credits whenever needed.
