What does RoundHound do?

RoundHound is an AI mock interview tool that prepares you for one specific role. Paste a link to an internship, first job, or next role (or share a company name and job title), and it researches how that company interviews for the position. It reviews the company’s hiring pages, current job postings, and what recent candidates have shared, then turns that into the likely rounds you’ll face and what each round tests.

Once the plan is ready, you practise each round out loud with an AI interviewer. The interviewer listens, asks follow-up questions, and runs each round at full length. For technical tracks, the tool includes a whiteboard or code editor experience. After each round, you get feedback on what went well and what to improve, plus a plain-language study guide for the specific skill you’re working on.

Feedback is designed to be actionable: your answers are kept in the order an interviewer expects, missing pieces are flagged so you know what to add next, and feedback points back to what you said (and, for coding/whiteboards, to the relevant lines or sections). If you get stuck mid-answer, you can turn on hints for support from a private coach.

RoundHound is for students and new grads preparing for internships and first jobs, as well as experienced candidates preparing for engineering, product, design, data, marketing, and analyst interviews. Pricing is free to start with one job and 60 minutes of practice. Passes cost $15 for 7 days or $30 for 30 days, with no subscription (Starter is free; Sprint and Pro are paid passes).

How does RoundHound build a mock interview plan for my role?

Share a job link (or a company name and job title). RoundHound reviews the company’s hiring pages, current job postings, and what recent candidates have shared, then maps out the rounds you’re likely to face and what each one tests.

Can I use RoundHound for technical and non-technical roles?

Yes. It supports roles across engineering, product, design, data, marketing, and analyst tracks, including technical-style practice with a code editor or whiteboard experience.

Are the questions the AI asks based on my specific company?

Yes—practice is built from the job posting and the company’s interview signals, so you rehearse what that team is likely to ask rather than a generic question list.

What kind of feedback do I get after each practice round?

After every round, you’ll see what went well and what to work on next time, with feedback tied to your own spoken answers. For coding and whiteboard rounds, feedback points to the relevant lines or board sections.

What if I get stuck during a practice answer?

You can turn on hints before a round and use a private coach during the session. You can ask the coach for help (e.g., how to structure a part of your answer or where to start), while the AI interviewer keeps you practicing.

What does RoundHound cost, and do I need a subscription?

You can start free with one job and 60 minutes of practice (no card needed). Paid passes cost $15 for 7 days or $30 for 30 days, and there’s no subscription to cancel.
