Chat Bots Compared

Chat Bots Compared is a review and comparison site for AI chatbots, with a strong focus on AI companions and virtual companion platforms.

The site includes an AI companion matcher quiz. This free tool requires no sign-up and asks six quick questions about what matters most to you, such as your main reason for wanting a chatbot, how important memory is, whether you want voice features, your budget preferences, and if you prioritize images or text-based roleplay. Based on your answers, it recommends platforms that fit those preferences.

It also publishes detailed reviews and comparisons of popular AI companion options. These cover features like custom character creation, image generation, voice messaging, long-term memory, and roleplay capabilities, along with pricing details (most offer free tiers, with paid plans typically starting in the $8–15 per month range) and notes on which platforms suit different needs. Examples of platforms reviewed include Candy AI, Secret Desires, GirlfriendGPT, Joi, GoLove.ai, Lovescape, Swipey, Seduced, DreamGF, and Promptchan.
