How do I start using Civils.ai?
Upload your PDFs (drawings or documents) by dragging and dropping them, then choose an AI Agent and type a natural-language prompt describing what you need. The AI performs the measurements and our QA team reviews the results. You can then review and export the outputs as Excel files and Annotated PDFs.
What outputs can I export from Civils.ai?
You can download results as Excel spreadsheets and Annotated PDFs. Outputs are designed to be easily reviewed against the original drawings or documents.
What file types can I upload?
Civils.ai accepts PDF drawings and documents. It works with scanned, historic, and multi-sheet drawings.
How do AI Agents work in Civils.ai?
You select an AI Agent and type a natural-language prompt (for example, “measure and categorise floor areas by type and count and measure windows & doors”). The AI performs the measurements and calculations, and a QA team reviews the results before you download.
How is data stored and protected?
- You can run Civils.ai on your own cloud (client-hosted) if you prefer.
- No project data is used to train the AI models.
- If a project is deleted, all associated data is discarded within 12 hours (including backups).
- Civils.ai supports NDA-compliant workflows and data privacy.
Are there pricing plans, and is there a free option?
Yes. Plans include:
- Free Plan: 10 projects, 5 GB storage, 2 AI assistants, access to engineering calculators and the geological data map.
- Individual Plan: $29 per month or $290 per year; unlimited projects, 50 GB storage, 10 AI assistants, priority support, webinars and tutorials.
- Corporate Plan: $240 per month or $2,400 per year (up to 10 users); 500 GB storage, 50 AI assistants, dedicated account manager, and options for custom integrations.
How accurate is the data extraction?
Case studies report high accuracy for certain outputs; for example, 91% accuracy for drawings, text, and tables. Actual accuracy can vary based on input quality and document type.
How long does a workflow take to run?
Workflow duration depends on the task and the complexity of the documents being processed. You’ll see the results after the AI run completes and the QA review is finished.
Can Civils.ai check contracts, change orders, and other project documents?
Yes. Civils.ai supports running checks on specifications, rates, and technical data, and can be used to check change orders vs contracts and review contracts and subcontracts as part of its workflows.
Can Civils.ai read and mark up drawings?
Yes. Civils.ai can read drawings and annotate/mark them up as part of the output.
How does Civils.ai compare to general-purpose AI?
