Light mode, redesigned tool pages, Pro deals and much more

It's been a while since our last update, but we've been busy behind the scenes. Over the past few weeks we've rebuilt large parts of Dang.ai. Here's a quick breakdown of what's new.

A Fresh New Look (and Light Mode)

Dang.ai has a cleaner, more consistent design across the whole site. You can now switch between light and dark mode, or follow your device's setting, from the theme button in the header. Navigation is simpler too: New, Featured, Top, Deals and the AI Graveyard now sit under Explore, and the header stays with you as you scroll. You can also subscribe to our weekly newsletter right from the homepage.

Redesigned Tool Pages

Tool pages now put the essentials up front: pricing, category, and when a tool was listed and last updated. View tool, Upvote and Share sit right at the top, and sharing now includes copy link and email. Verified and Pro partner badges now explain what they mean. If a tool has shut down, its page says so clearly and points you to alternatives. Tool pages are also much shorter and easier to read on phones.

Deals From Pro Listings

Pro listings can now post a discount, offer or coupon code straight from their dashboard, with an end date. Active deals appear on the tool's page with a copy-code button and on our Deals page, and they disappear automatically when they end, so you'll only ever see offers that are live. The AI Graveyard, Rebuilt

Our AI Graveyard has a fresh new design. Use the new "Is it dead?" search to check on any tool, browse the most recent or most popular shutdowns, and explore the charts by category. Writing about AI tools? The Graveyard now includes a ready-to-copy citation, a "data as of" date and an explanation of how we count. After our latest review, we've also moved more than 130 tools that have shut down into the Graveyard.

Better Listings for Tool Makers

When you submit a tool or update your listing, you can now add its pricing model (Free, Freemium, Free trial or Paid), where it's available (for example Chrome, Mac or iOS) and which apps it works with. This helps people who browse by pricing, platform or integration find your tool. We also fixed listings that showed their Dang.ai package as the tool's price, fixed the social profile field on Basic listings, and you can now replace a listing image from your dashboard if we can't publish the one you sent.

Faster Everywhere

Pages now load noticeably faster, especially on phones. We've made images much lighter and cut down the code each page needs to download.

Additional Improvements

  • A new sign-in page: no password needed, and no purchase required to create an account.
  • Categories are easier to browse, with a filter on the Categories page and the current category highlighted as you go.
  • Our AI affiliate programs list now only shows tools that actually offer an affiliate program.
  • A reorganized footer that makes it easier to find every part of the site.
  • Free submissions now save your details before review, so nothing is lost if review is briefly unavailable.
  • Your dashboard no longer cuts off content on some laptop screens, and empty pages now tell you what to do next.
  • Search no longer opens partly off-screen on some devices.
  • If a page fails to load right after we ship an update, it now recovers on its own instead of showing an error.
